Morib Beach Clean-Up: A Successful Initiative by King Henry VIII, Cyberjaya Students

Last Thursday, we embarked on a meaningful road trip to Morib Beach for a clean-up event with the dedicated students and teachers from King Henry VIII, Cyberjaya. At first glance, Morib Beach seemed relatively clean, but a closer inspection revealed an alley of trash hidden between the rocks just over the wave barrier.

Despite observing the fasting month of Ramadan, our resilient volunteers didn’t hesitate to tackle the challenging task of removing deeply embedded fishing nets and other debris from the crevices. Their hard work and determination paid off, resulting in the collection of a significant 104.3 kilograms of trash. Impressively, 45.35 kilograms of this total were recyclable materials, highlighting the importance of sorting and proper disposal during clean-up efforts.
